About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of structural parts and chassis for air-conditioning systems
  • Oversee the development of tools and moulds for sheet metal and plastic components
  • Provide technical guidance to the structural design engineering team
  • Manage CAD resources, including work allocation and design standardization
  • Conduct design reviews, action planning, and tolerance analysis
  • Perform material analysis and selection for tools and moulds
  • Execute DFM&A (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly) for structural parts
  • Manage structural testing, qualification, and reliability analysis
  • Support suppliers and the supply chain in parts development and localization activities
  • Drive VAVE (Value Analysis Value Engineering) initiatives to optimize investments

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 7+ years of experience in parts and tool/mould development
  • Proficiency in 3D/2D software such as SolidWorks, ProE/Creo, AutoCAD, or Unigraphics Nx
  • Strong knowledge of DFM&A and structural testing
  • Deep understanding of tool design, machining, and material properties
  • Experience with Dimensioning and Tolerance analysis
  • Strong English communication skills, both oral and written
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities

Preferred Qualifications

  • Diploma in Tool Design
  • Experience with VRF or commercial product structure/chassis design
  • Familiarity with CAE tools and design data management
