Assistant Manager - Engineering

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize refrigeration cycles to improve product performance and energy efficiency.
• Manage VRF system design, including outdoor/indoor unit selection and system balancing.
• Support prototype development, design validation, and product testing activities.
• Collaborate with sourcing teams to develop system-related parts and validate vendor processes.
• Participate in Value Analysis / Value Engineering (VAVE) initiatives to drive cost optimization.
• Coordinate with design centers for material and process substitutions based on local requirements.
• Manage engineering changes, document control, and Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Drive product customization to meet specific business requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC Light Commercial or VRF products.
• Strong knowledge of refrigeration cycles and HVAC fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience in the product development process and performance analysis.
• Deep understanding of Thermal engineering, Heat Transfer, and Thermodynamics.
• Knowledge of ISO standards related to air conditioning systems and global compliance.
• Proficiency in using product life cycle management tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to Inverter technology and VRF systems.
• Experience with VAVE and cost optimization projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
