Assistant Manager, Discovery Shop

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily retail operations, including donation acquisition, processing, and sales floor merchandising
• Lead and develop a small staff and a large group of volunteers to ensure seamless store operations
• Deliver exceptional customer and donor service, serving as a role model for the team
• Partner with the Store Manager to execute strategic initiatives, loyalty programs, and promotional events
• Support marketing efforts through social media content and community engagement to drive sales
• Assume leadership of the shop in the Manager's absence to ensure continuity of service

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of experience in the retail or service industry
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Teams, Excel, Outlook)
• Experience utilizing retail software and Point of Sale (POS) systems
• Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree
• Prior experience in a leadership role
• Experience in resale, specialty retail, merchandising, or customer support
