Assistant Manager - Centralized Accounting

Responsibilities

• Manage global reconciliation processes for Amex GBT
• Validate financial reports to ensure accuracy of information being processed
• Perform bank, general ledger, and sub-ledger reconciliations and data analysis
• Execute accounting controls to ensure report accuracy
• Coordinate with stakeholders to provide and obtain necessary clarifications
• Support internal and statutory audits
• Build relationships with key internal contacts and external outsource vendors to identify process improvements
• Assist team leaders with special projects and ad-hoc accounting activities

Requirements

• CA, CPA, or CCA qualification with 0-2 years post-qualification experience, OR a Bachelor's in Commerce/MBA with 5-10 years of accounting experience
• Experience working within a shared services environment is preferred
• Strong understanding of USGAAP accounting entries
• Excellent problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to deliver results and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Proven ability to work independently and as a collaborative team player
