Assistant Manager Catering

Responsibilities

• Manage the planning, coordination, and execution of university-wide catered functions
• Supervise, schedule, train, and evaluate employees to ensure efficient and courteous service
• Meet with clients to plan and book events, develop menus, and create pricing and contract proposals
• Ensure strict compliance with all sanitation, safety, and cleanliness standards
• Maintain cost-effective service delivery while managing day-to-day catering operations

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• At least 2 years of experience in a food service operation or quality catering environment
• Proven supervisory experience
• ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain certification within one year of employment)
• Computer literacy, including proficiency with industry-standard software
• Ability to work varying schedules, including evenings, weekends, and extended hours during major university events
