About the role
Responsibilities
- Prepare major monthly, quarterly, compliance, and close-out reports for government and other funding partners
- Collect and analyze information to prepare quarterly forecasting and bi-annual capital project updates for the UBC Executive and Board of Governors
- Collaborate on the annual Capital Project Prioritization and Five-Year Plan process
- Contribute to the development of Business Cases for capital project funding from the Ministry of Infrastructure
- Manage the financial and administrative processes for routine capital and renewal programs
- Develop strategies and eligibility assessments for external capital funding opportunities
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to support project prioritization and routine capital program needs
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline
- Minimum of five years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in the building design or construction industry
- Strong project financial management skills
- Proven business report writing skills
- Commitment to enhancing awareness and skills related to equity, diversity, and inclusion
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Planning, Business, or a related field
- Specialized training or accreditation in project management, construction management, or business management
- Experience in an institutional setting with a comprehensive understanding of project planning and building systems
- Advanced skills in stakeholder relations and complex information analysis
