Assistant Manager – Business & Tax Advisory

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements, income tax returns, and Business Activity Statements (BAS)
• Deliver tax advice regarding various entity structures including companies, trusts, and partnerships
• Support compliance with Division 7A requirements and trust distribution planning
• Provide business advisory support to private businesses, start-ups, and family groups
• Review work prepared by Consultants and Senior Consultants to ensure technical accuracy
• Coach and mentor junior team members to support their professional development
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders

Requirements

• Experience within Australian Business Services and Tax Advisory
• Demonstrated experience preparing and reviewing financial statements, tax returns, and BAS
• Strong understanding of Australian taxation legislation and compliance requirements
• Experience working with private businesses, family groups, and entrepreneurial clients
• Completed CA, CPA, or equivalent professional qualification

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience gained within a public practice accounting environment, preferably at a mid-tier or large firm
• Ability to balance compliance delivery with commercial and advisory thinking
