Assistant Manager, Building Operations and Services

Responsibilities

• Coordinate building maintenance and repairs for residential towers and century homes within University Family Housing.
• Oversee common areas including mechanical and electrical systems, parking garages, laundry rooms, and community playgrounds.
• Manage maintenance staff and Property Coordinators to ensure optimum operations and tenant satisfaction.
• Assist with special building projects by coordinating service shutdowns and communicating with residents and contractors.
• Provide data and recommendations to the Manager regarding property modifications and capital expenditure budgets.
• Act as the designate for the Manager in their absence.

Requirements

• University degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Facilities Management and Maintenance.
• Minimum of three years of experience in building management or maintenance.
• Proven experience managing maintenance budgets and performing financial analyses.
• Experience in a unionized environment with knowledge of labor and employment standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and architectural software/building drawings.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
