About the role

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead the branch team to provide a full range of products and services, including lending and depository accounts
  • Assist the Branch Manager in monitoring cash operations and branch self-auditing to ensure asset security
  • Manage staff to ensure vault opening, closing, and balancing procedures are completed correctly
  • Participate in recruiting, onboarding, and initial training of new team members
  • Guide team development to foster growth in technical, soft, and leadership skills
  • Ensure compliance with all security, safety, emergency preparedness, and HR policies
  • Perform supervisory duties including setting performance goals, conducting appraisals, and mentoring staff
  • Analyze reports and conduct trend analysis to optimize business performance
  • Act as the Branch Manager in their absence

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of applicable federal regulations governing consumer lending, mortgages, and depository accounts
  • Knowledge of various financial products such as credit cards, savings, and checking accounts
  • Working knowledge of cash and ATM operations
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and within a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or an equivalent combination of experience
  • Familiarity with retail banking industry best practices
  • Experience in a financial institution or lending environment
