Assistant Manager

Responsibilities

• Work in conjunction with the Store Manager to manage all areas of daily store operations
• Recruit, interview, and train Sales Associates and Sales Leads to support employee development
• Supervise and motivate staff to achieve store sales goals and participate in sales contests
• Resolve customer service concerns in a professional and timely manner
• Maintain visual merchandising standards and supervise incoming and outgoing inventory
• Manage cash handling, bank procedures, and timely accounting of all cash flow
• Assist in developing staff work schedules and managing meal/break periods
• Maintain authority for all aspects of the store in the absence of the Store Manager
• Secure company assets and maintain loss prevention and operational standards

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent
• At least one year of retail management experience
• Proficiency with POS systems and other store computer applications
• Ability to perform retail mathematical equations
• Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
