Assistant Manager Bar (Mixologist)

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a diverse range of cocktails, mocktails, and beverages with expertise and precision
• Supervise and train bar staff on cocktail preparation, customer service, and operational procedures
• Manage bar inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stock rotation
• Monitor and control bar costs, pricing, and profitability
• Develop and update bar menus, including seasonal and signature drinks
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and liquor licensing regulations
• Deliver exceptional customer service and personalized recommendations
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe bar environment

Requirements

• 3-5 years of professional bartending experience in high-volume, upscale hospitality
• Proven expertise in mixology and advanced knowledge of spirits, wines, and beers
• Demonstrated supervisory or assistant management experience
• Proficiency in POS systems and bar management software
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills for inventory and cost control
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Knowledge of wine pairing and sommelier principles
• Certification in responsible alcohol service
