Assistant Manager, Alternative Ops Reconciliation

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cash and position reconciliation between funds and brokers
• Manage hedge fund reconciliation activities including cost, position, and gain/loss realization
• Reconcile dividends and market valuations during month-end to support GNAV calculations
• Review and validate deliverables to ensure compliance with specified SLAs
• Create process flows and SOPs to build a repository for future training
• Drive process excellence initiatives and manage business continuity for the team
• Lead and manage a team of 10-15+ members in day-to-day production
• Troubleshoot process issues and manage client expectations proactively

Requirements

• 7-9 years of experience in Investment Banking, Hedge Funds, Capital Markets, or Fund Accounting
• Strong knowledge of cash and position reconciliation, including market value and transaction recon
• Deep understanding of capital markets, trade flows, and derivative products (Equities, Options, Bonds, Futures, etc.)
• Proficiency in using Bloomberg Terminal for corporate actions and security pricing
• Advanced Excel skills for MIS reporting and strong documentation skills for SOPs
• Bachelor or Master degree in Accounting or an MBA in Finance
• Ability to work in shifts and adhere to strict timelines

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with the Geneva application
• Lean or Six Sigma certification
• Knowledge of NAV/Custody processes and upstream/downstream workflows
• Understanding of Robotics, BPM, and Risk excellence measures
• Relevant industry certifications such as NISM, NSE, or CISI
