Assistant Manager, Alternative Ops Fund Accounting

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Custody process and trade settlement operations in accordance with internal controls and procedures
• Manage the end-to-end trade life cycle, including accurate and timely booking of trades and reconciliation of outstanding items
• Research and resolve exceptions and inquiries related to trade processing and settlement
• Communicate fail trade information and handle client queries regarding trade processing
• Coordinate with onshore teams for training and ensure seamless processing of custody-related tasks
• Manage daily volumes to ensure delivery of tasks according to Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
• Oversee adherence to Standard Operating Procedures and maintain records to support audits
• Provide timely management reporting and maintain issue logs under moderate supervision

Requirements

• Minimum of 6+ years of experience in core Custody operations, preferably in trade settlement or trade processing
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Strong understanding of the end-to-end Trade Life Cycle and intermediaries involved
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
• Knowledge of SWIFT messages, including different message types and tags
• Understanding of clearing houses, depositories (DTC, FED, Euro Clear, Clear Stream), and trade types (RVP, DVP, RFP, DFP)
• Ability to work US market night shifts
• Strong analytical skills and high attention to detail
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills for client-facing interactions
