Assistant Manager - Actuarial Technical Solution

Responsibilities

• Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to improve profitability and monitor volatility
• Design and select optimal financial methodologies for catastrophe modelling consistency
• Provide technical and mathematical guidance to the accumulation management team
• Support internal and regulatory reporting for catastrophe accumulation management
• Assess catastrophe reinsurance protection and optimize program structures
• Generate insights on projected catastrophe exposure for financial planning
• Supply catastrophe accumulation data to economic capital teams and stakeholders
• Lead innovative initiatives within accumulation management

Requirements

• 2-5 years of relevant experience in catastrophe modelling
• Strong mathematical or computer science background
• Proficiency in catastrophe modelling tools such as RMS Risk Modeler or AIR Touchstone
• Experience with an object-oriented programming language
• Experience writing SQL scripts
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Computer Science, or Physics

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using RMS HD models or AIR Touchstone
• Proficiency in R or Python
• Experience using loss tables (ELT, YLT, PLT)
• Ability to write scripts to calculate statistics such as EP curves
• Experience writing SQL stored procedures
• Experience in treaty modelling
