About the role
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the Front Office team and coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and F&B departments
- Supervise and motivate team members to maintain high service standards
- Ensure smooth hotel operations in the absence of the General Manager or Front Office Manager
- Actively resolve guest complaints and challenges to ensure positive outcomes
- Maintain a visible management presence in the lobby and at the Front Desk during key times
- Assist with guest check-in and check-out processes as required
- Respond to and coordinate emergency situations
- Support the restaurant and cafe by assisting with dining orders when needed
Requirements
- Proven experience within the hotel industry
- Strong working knowledge of Opera, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Office
- Valid Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate
- First Aid training (or willingness to obtain before starting)
- Ability to work a rotating roster, including mornings, evenings, and weekends
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong leadership qualities and a guest-obsessed mindset
