Assistant Maintenance

Responsibilities

• Complete resident service requests within 24 hours
• Manage the system for handling resident service requests and schedule on-call rotations
• Maintain physical integrity of the property and correct unsafe conditions immediately
• Maintain accurate records of preventive maintenance, service requests, and vacant apartment status
• Perform minor and routine maintenance on electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliances, and irrigation systems
• Diagnose and repair issues involving doors, locks, windows, flooring, and pool areas
• Participate in standby emergency schedules for evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Assist in preparing the property for various inspections

Requirements

• Minimum of two years of full-time experience in apartment maintenance or a related trade
• High school diploma or equivalent
• EPA certification (refrigerant, transition, and recovery)
• Possession of a basic set of hand tools
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record and auto insurance
• Ability to work weekends and travel within metropolitan areas
• Physical ability to lift up to 30 lbs and walk the property for up to 8 hours

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical Certification
• Bilingual in Spanish
