Assistant Maintenance Manager

Responsibilities

• Assist the Facilities Director in overseeing maintenance operations across hotel properties, employee housing, and company facilities
• Schedule, coordinate, and oversee external contractors including electricians, plumbers, and HVAC technicians
• Monitor project timelines, budgets, and contractor performance for renovation and capital improvement projects
• Support and supervise maintenance teams, providing training and performance feedback
• Schedule and oversee preventative maintenance programs across all properties
• Conduct routine property inspections to identify maintenance, safety, and compliance concerns
• Respond to maintenance emergencies and provide after-hours support on a rotating basis
• Ensure facilities comply with OSHA, ADA, and local/state/federal regulations

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum five years of supervisory experience in building maintenance, construction, or facilities management
• Minimum three years of project management or operational planning experience
• Prior hotel, hospitality, property management, or maintenance department experience required
• Thorough knowledge of building systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical
• Proficiency with hand and power tools and maintenance equipment
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varying weather conditions

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Building Trades, or Construction Management
