Assistant Maintenance Manager

Responsibilities

• Champion a safety-first culture by ensuring compliance with safety protocols and conducting regular audits
• Lead preventive and predictive maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime
• Supervise and support maintenance technicians through coaching, 1:1 meetings, and team huddles
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including PM/PdM completion rates and equipment effectiveness
• Maintain accurate data within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
• Act as the on-site point of contact for maintenance-related issues to ensure alignment between teams

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a management role overseeing maintenance teams
• Proficiency in preventive/predictive maintenance and repairs on electrical and mechanical equipment
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including holidays and weekends, based on operational needs
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and walk long distances (6-12 miles daily) in a warehouse environment
• Ability to perform tasks wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Maintenance, Engineering, or Management
• 5+ years of relevant management experience
• Certification in maintenance management or reliability (e.g., CMRP, PMP)
• Expertise with conveyor systems and robotics used in logistics and fulfillment centers
