About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one instruction and small group study sessions to academically at-risk student-athletes
- Build fundamental academic skills using direct instruction methods and appropriate learning strategies
- Create and maintain a balanced schedule of appointments to meet consistently with assigned students
- Collaborate with the Educational Support Services team regarding individual learning needs and academic progress
- Conduct small and large group study halls
- Provide accurate and timely communication and reports to learning specialists and academic advising staff
- Participate in scheduled staff meetings and mandatory campus trainings, including NCAA compliance and Title IX
- Assist with administrative duties and other projects as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree
- Willingness to work irregular hours, including nights and weekends
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Education, Special Education, or Educational Psychology
