Assistant Kindergarten Teacher

Responsibilities

• Assist lead and specialist teachers in delivering curriculum and facilitating small group instruction
• Foster a nurturing and orderly classroom climate through active supervision during transitions, recess, and lunch
• Organize and prepare essential classroom materials and manage daily logistical details
• Support students with empathy as they develop foundational social-emotional skills
• Maintain consistent, open communication with the lead teacher and the broader Lower School team

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or significant progress toward a degree in early childhood education or a related field
• Demonstrated experience supporting children aged 5–6 in a school or structured group setting
• High energy, patience, and a proactive "can-do" attitude
• Strong interpersonal skills for engaging with students, colleagues, and parents

• Salary range of $50,000 - $55,000, commensurate with experience
