About the role
Responsibilities
- Oversee housekeeping operations and departmental budgets
- Monitor appearance, standards, and performance of the housekeeping team
- Ensure staffing levels cover business demands and manage duty rosters
- Support training, onboarding, coaching, and performance management
- Maintain communication with all hotel areas and external suppliers
- Follow safety, sanitation, and departmental policies
- Report necessary maintenance items and manage inventory
Requirements
- 4–6 years of experience in hotel housekeeping operations
- Minimum 2 years in a supervisory or assistant managerial role
- Experience in large-scale hotels with 500+ rooms
- Knowledge of housekeeping standards, hygiene, and safety procedures
- Proficiency in hotel systems such as Opera or similar PMS
- Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays
- Good command of spoken and written English
