Assistant Housekeeper

Responsibilities

• Provide professional, personalized housekeeping services to guests onboard the Viking Mississippi following STAR Service Standards
• Work alongside designated Stateroom Steward/ess to clean assigned areas including bathrooms, balconies, and corridors
• Maintain cleanliness according to public health policies and manage cleaning chemicals and tools effectively
• Stock and maintain housekeeping lockers
• Handle guest requests and complaints, including additional services such as laundry and shoeshine
• Follow all health, safety, and security procedures
• Participate in luggage duty, training, and company activities
• Uphold impeccable grooming standards in compliance with Viking’s Image and Uniform Standards

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in a 5-star hospitality environment (Assistant Stateroom Steward/ess or similar)
• Shipboard experience is considered an advantage
• U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card)
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
• Physically fit and able to meet the demands of an intense shipboard role, including standing, kneeling, and carrying heavy items
• Must be 21+ years of age
• Fully vaccinated against Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Tetanus/Diphtheria, and Hepatitis A and B
