Assistant General Manager

Responsibilities

• Participate in a 9-to-15 month leadership training program designed to prepare high-potential professionals for General Manager roles
• Learn to lead managers and supervisors to ensure operational excellence in shipments, product handling, and inventory accuracy
• Assist in developing facility strategies, assessing deliverables, and utilizing resources to eliminate process problems
• Support financial management by learning to prepare P&L statements, annual budgets, and audit billing activity
• Manage employee relations, including coaching, performance appraisals, and talent selection in partnership with Human Resources
• Implement safety and sanitation schedules to ensure compliance with OSHA, FDA, and other regulatory standards

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
• 7+ years of overall professional experience
• Proven experience managing a warehouse or distribution center of 100,000+ sq ft
• Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), preferably Manhattan
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Knowledge of OSHA, DOT, HAZMAT, and FDA regulations

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing seasonal workforces
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills
• Experience with large-scale facility financial reporting
