Assistant General Manager

Responsibilities

• Ensure sales targets are met by leading the team and driving sales initiatives
• Focus on selling club memberships, fitness services, products, and programs
• Oversee billing processes and monitor the sales process
• Communicate goals, expectations, and procedures to staff members
• Supervise the maintenance and cleanliness of the facility, equipment, and locker rooms
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and implement safety protocols
• Address member concerns or complaints and manage membership inquiries
• Engage with members in a friendly and approachable manner
• Communicate calmly and clearly with staff and members during emergencies

Requirements

• Must successfully pass background check
• CPR certification required within 30 days of hire
• Ability to work in a gym setting and move about club floors
• Ability to bend routinely and repetitively to lift more than 40 lbs
• Ability to operate company computer systems and enter data

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years of customer service experience
• 3-4 years of sales experience
• 1 year of supervisory experience
• Strong communication and relationship building skills
• Excellent MS Office skills
• Prior experience or strong interest in the fitness industry
