About the role
Responsibilities
- Act as the "right-hand" person to the General Manager, filling in for all functions in their absence
- Support restaurant operations, including food and labor cost management, budgeting, and sales building
- Oversee team member performance, training, and professional development
- Ensure high standards of food and beverage preparation, storage, and presentation
- Maintain compliance with safe food handling procedures and local health standards
- Manage vendor invoices, food ordering systems, and cash/POS accuracy
- Assist the GM with inventory counts, reconciliation, and personnel decisions regarding hiring and promotions
- Perform various floor roles such as food server, expo, or line cook when necessary
Requirements
- Dependable team player with strong multitasking skills
- Ability to stand and walk 100% of the shift
- Ability to lift and carry up to 70lbs up to 20 times per shift
- Ability to verbalize and clearly respond to guests and team members
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, damp, and hot work environment
- Ability to use sharp knives, slicers, and other kitchen machinery
