Assistant General Manager

Responsibilities

• Act as the "right-hand" person to the General Manager, filling in for all functions in their absence
• Support restaurant operations, including food and labor cost management, budgeting, and sales building
• Oversee team member performance, training, and development to maintain high service standards
• Manage food and beverage preparation, storage, inventory, and presentation
• Ensure compliance with safe food handling procedures and local health standards
• Assist the GM with personnel decisions, including hiring, promotions, and training
• Maintain restaurant equipment and perform regular maintenance checklists
• Lead by example through active communication with guests, team members, and vendors

Requirements

• Dependable team player with strong multitasking skills
• Ability to stand and walk for the entire duration of a shift
• Ability to lift and carry up to 70lbs up to 20 times per shift
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, damp, and hot work environment
• Proficiency in using kitchen machinery and sharp utensils
