Assistant General Manager

Responsibilities

• Act as the "right-hand" person to the General Manager, filling in for all functions in their absence
• Support restaurant operations including food and labor cost management, budgeting, and sales building
• Oversee food and beverage preparation, storage, inventory, and presentation
• Ensure compliance with safe food handling procedures and local health standards
• Lead and mentor Team Members, Shift Leaders, and Managers through training and candid feedback
• Assist the GM with personnel decisions regarding hiring, promotions, and terminations
• Manage restaurant equipment maintenance and perform regular quality line checks
• Perform various front-of-house or back-of-house duties such as serving, cooking, or expediting when needed

Requirements

• Dependable team player with strong multitasking skills
• Ability to stand and walk for the full duration of a shift
• Ability to lift and carry up to 70lbs up to 20 times per shift
• Strong communication skills to interact with guests, vendors, and team members
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, damp, and hot environment
• Proficiency in using kitchen machinery and sharp utensils
