About the role
Responsibilities
- Act as the "right-hand" person to the General Manager, filling in for all functions in their absence
- Support restaurant operations, including food and labor cost management, budgeting, and sales building
- Oversee food and beverage preparation, storage, inventory, and presentation
- Manage team member performance, training, and professional development
- Ensure compliance with safe food handling procedures and local health standards
- Maintain restaurant equipment and oversee monthly maintenance checklists
- Assist with personnel decisions regarding hiring, promotions, and training
- Perform various roles such as food server, expo, or line cook when necessary to support the team
Requirements
- Dependable team player with strong multitasking skills
- Strong communication skills to interact with guests, team members, and vendors
- Ability to stand and walk for the full duration of a shift
- Ability to lift and carry up to 70lbs up to 20 times per shift
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, damp, and hot work environment
- Proficiency in using kitchen machinery and sharp utensils
