Responsibilities

  • Drafting contract documents and MOUs
  • Commenting on legislation and policy initiatives
  • Assisting with agency compliance with various federal, state, and local laws and reporting requirements
  • Assisting with responding to subpoenas and requests from oversights and other government agencies
  • Drafting standard operating procedures and policies
  • Performing legal research and making recommendations on questions of law, fact, and administrative policy
  • Serving as liaison to the New York City Law Department regarding litigation and contract review

Requirements

  • Admission to the New York State Bar
  • One year of satisfactory United States legal experience subsequent to admission to any state bar, or six months of service as an Agency Attorney Interne
  • Must remain a Member of the New York State Bar in good standing
