Assistant Football Coach

Responsibilities

• Instruct student-athletes during practice sessions, workouts, and athletic events.
• Prepare personalized instructional plans for in-season, off-season, and summer activities, including technical training and film study.
• Assist with recruiting efforts by evaluating prospective players and maintaining an accurate identification database.
• Monitor student-athlete academic progress and assist with the implementation of academic programs and study halls.
• Ensure compliance with national, conference, and institutional rules and regulations.
• Support the Head Coach in the overall management and administration of the football program.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree is required.
• 1-3 years of intercollegiate coaching experience or high school coaching experience.
• Previous playing experience or experience as a student assistant in football.
• Strong ability to recruit, coach, and teach student-athletes.
• Proficiency in using personal computers, social media, and office equipment for instruction and recruitment.
• Alignment with Nelson University's Christian standards, doctrinal statement, and lifestyle expectations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree.
