Assistant Football Coach

Responsibilities

• Support the Head Football Coach in all aspects of operating the football program, specifically focusing on Wide Receivers.
• Collaborate with coaching staff to support offensive game planning and execute practice sessions.
• Recruit high-caliber student-athletes who align with the mission of Lawrence University and the goals of the football program.
• Manage the team's strength and conditioning program.
• Coordinate the review of practice and game video.
• Monitor student-athlete academic performance and implement measures to support their educational progress.
• Ensure compliance with all NCAA, Midwest Conference, and University rules and regulations.
• Coordinate with University Athletic Trainers to ensure proper medical and physical training services for student-athletes.
• Attend all team practices, home contests, and away contests.

Requirements

• Successful coaching experience.
• Experience recruiting at the college level.
• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Strength and Conditioning Certification.
• First aid and AED certification (must be obtained prior to conducting athletics-related activities).
• Ability to pass criminal and MVR background checks and meet University Authorized Driver Policy requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree.
