Assistant Football Coach

Responsibilities

• Assist the head football coach and offensive coordinator in implementing a competitive NCAA Division II football program
• Coach skill development for student-athletes
• Coordinate and schedule strength training and conditioning for player development
• Promote a healthy orientation for student-athletes
• Scout and recruit qualified, competitive student-athletes while supporting their academic success
• Maintain thorough understanding of and accountability to PSAC and NCAA rules and regulations
• Demonstrate commitment to the academic and athletic success of student-athletes with high ethical standards

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Football coaching or college playing experience
• Effective communication skills and ability to work with a diverse population
• Valid driver's license in good standing
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record (no suspensions for the 5 years prior to hire)
• Ability to support and promote the University's Mission

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree
• Strength and conditioning certification
