Assistant Football Coach

Responsibilities

• Serve as an assistant coach, assisting the Head Coach with skills instruction, practice sessions, and workout routines
• Assist in the development of game plans and perform film review and analysis
• Recruit academically and athletically qualified student-athletes to meet university admission and enrollment goals
• Ensure strict compliance with University, NCAA, and SCIAC rules and regulations
• Coordinate and coach university sports camps
• Provide guidance and inspiration to student-athletes to promote academic success and good sportsmanship

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in exercise science, kinesiology, sports management, or a related field
• One year of coaching experience at the collegiate level
• Valid California driver's license
• Ability to obtain CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications within 90 days of employment

Preferred Qualifications

• Division III coaching experience
• Working knowledge of NCAA rules compliance
• Proven ability to recruit and retain quality student-athletes
• Commitment to the values and standards of NCAA Division III athletics and a liberal arts university environment
