About the role
Responsibilities
- Operate electronic total station instruments, transit, Auto-level, and other surveying instruments
- Read, review, and interpret maps, drawings, and diagrams
- Set and mark stakes for slopes, grades, and other construction purposes
- Determine lines, corners, elevations, grades, alignments, angles, positions, and distances
- Maintain total station, field books, survey equipment, and tools
- Perform related field and office engineering work
Requirements
- 2 years of construction or surveying experience
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Proficient computer skills and ability to use standard business software
- Complete understanding of surveying math
- Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, and work on uneven surfaces or at heights
- Ability to lift and carry materials weighing 50-100 lbs 75% of the time
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to work in an OSHA compliant safety environment
- Ability to work outdoors
- Availability to work overtime and weekend hours
- Strong punctuality and promptness
