About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist Project Managers in coordinating fiber installation scopes, including backbone, pathways, splicing, and testing.
- Support daily coordination between owners, contractors, subcontractors, and trade partners.
- Assist with project schedules, look-ahead planning, and milestone tracking.
- Support material procurement and tracking to ensure availability of fiber materials and equipment.
- Manage project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change management, and as-built drawings.
- Support QA/QC processes and the review of fiber testing documentation such as OTDR results.
- Coordinate closely with Superintendents and Field Engineers to support daily construction activities.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in construction or project management within telecom, fiber, low voltage, or electrical infrastructure.
- Direct experience with fiber optic infrastructure installation (OSP and/or ISP).
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced construction environments with aggressive timelines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting data center or mission-critical construction projects.
- Familiarity with fiber testing standards including OTDR and end-to-end certification.
- Experience with construction management platforms such as Procore, Bluebeam, or Primavera P6.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
