Assistant F&B Cost Controller

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain Food & Beverage cost control procedures
• Verify supplier invoices, purchase orders, and goods received for accuracy
• Support preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly cost reports and inventory reconciliations
• Assist in maintaining F&B cost percentages and identifying variances
• Participate in physical inventory counts for food, beverage, and operating supplies
• Monitor stock levels and support replenishment processes
• Conduct routine checks of receiving, storeroom, and kitchen operations
• Assist in menu costing and tracking high-cost items
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and support corrective actions
• Collaborate with Finance, Purchasing, Kitchen, and F&B teams
• Maintain accurate records and filing systems for cost control activities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Hospitality Management
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role within a hotel or hospitality environment
• Solid understanding of hotel operations, F&B controls, and inventory management
• Proficiency in cost control systems, PMS (e.g., Opera), and accounting software (e.g., Sun, SAP)
• Advanced skills in MS Excel and financial reporting tools
• Ability to analyze inventory costs and track wastage
• Familiarity with procurement processes and month-end closing
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with high attention to detail
• Effective communication and coordination skills
