Assistant Farm Manager

About the Company

Gold Leaf is a farming company whose core focus is to build farms, family, and a future we’re proud of. We own and operate ~12,000 acres of almonds, pistachios, and dates in California and Arizona, making us a top ~15 grower of these crops globally.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of assigned farm properties
• Ensure safe farm operations and compliance with safety requirements
• Monitor crop health and quality through regular farm walks
• Support Farm Manager in budget tracking, planning, and forecasting
• Execute irrigation schedules and agronomy playbook tasks
• Manage equipment operation, repairs, and preventative maintenance
• Build strong working relationships with Foremen and Field Operators
• Coach and provide feedback to farm teams to foster a coaching culture
• Partner with Farm Manager to execute and optimize agronomic strategies
• Support the trial and adoption of new AgTechnology

Requirements

• Experience in a related field, permanent crops, or as a senior farm operator preferred
• Passion for leading and developing teams
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and professional software

Preferred Qualifications

• Private applicator license
• Bilingual in Spanish
