Assistant Engineer

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the flow of engineering documents, including drawings and technical content, for business unit engineers
• Update schematics, wiring, and electrical drawings using AutoCAD to ensure alignment with engineering standards
• Prepare the release of print schematics and electrical drawings to Assembly and QC Departments with strict version control
• Prepare work instructions and procedures for manufacturing as directed
• Provide technical content for product manuals to ensure documentation is clear and accurate
• Provide engineering guidance to production personnel to help interpret drawings and resolve technical concerns
• Track and maintain revisions to specifications and drawings throughout the product lifecycle
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions in documentation and design workflows

Requirements

• Bachelor of science in electrical engineering or a related field (or equivalent via experience)
• Demonstrated knowledge of electrical circuits, schematics, and industrial documentation standards
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Proficiency with MS Office programs
• Strong problem-solving skills to resolve technical discrepancies in engineering documentation
• Ability to work flexible hours to meet project deadlines and availability for domestic travel up to 5%

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Experience supporting high-volume, multi-project engineering environments
• Familiarity with ISO 9000 documentation standards and document control procedures
• 2 years of experience in records management
• Experience with CREO, SolidWorks, or Inventor software
• Working knowledge of ERP systems and Bill of Material (BOM) structure management
