Assistant Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design electrical distribution systems (Low Voltage and High Voltage) for water and wastewater treatment projects, including pumping stations and desalination plants.
• Prepare design documentation such as Design Basis, Load lists, Cable schedules, Single Line Diagrams, and technical specifications.
• Perform equipment sizing calculations for transformers, generators, cables, UPS, and capacitor banks.
• Conduct lighting calculations (indoor and outdoor) using Dialux or similar software.
• Execute system studies including load flow, short circuit, and motor starting using ETAP, SKM, or Amtech.
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams including architects, structural engineers, and process engineers.
• Review vendor drawings and technical offers to ensure compliance with project requirements.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• At least 2 years of relevant work experience in electrical design within a consultancy environment.
• Proficiency in electrical design software, specifically Dialux and ETAP.
• Strong computer literacy in MS Office and essential experience with AutoCAD.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work independently as part of an integrated global team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with large-scale infrastructure projects such as Smart Cities or Townships.
• Knowledge of P&ID, control philosophy, and control system architecture.
• Familiarity with Bentley AutoPlant, Autodesk Revit MEP, or 3D AutoCAD.
• Experience working with classified or hazardous area applications.
