Assistant Editor

Responsibilities

• Maintain Avid projects and keep editorial files organized
• Manage and process storyboards using Flix, including importing layout, animation, and lighting shots
• Import, log, and prep dialogue recordings (scratch dialogue, production recordings, and ADR)
• Output movie files for sound, digital intermediate, and music departments
• Organize sound effects and music assets
• Assist editors with Avid builds for screenings and quality control of outputs
• Publish to production by managing EDLs and change notes
• Provide timely and accurate information to the production team
• Assist in retake sessions and upload screeners to PIX as required

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in animation editorial
• High degree of proficiency in Avid Media Composer
• Strong understanding of feature animation pipelines and workflows
• Excellent organizational skills with great attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines under tight schedules
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with After Effects, Photoshop, or ProTools
