About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide quality property management for University-owned high-rise office buildings and manage day-to-day building operations.
- Oversee financial management, including rent collection, accounting, budgeting, and property tax administration.
- Lead strategic planning and execution of short- and long-term business and operational plans.
- Manage leasing, lease administration, and tenant relations for a diverse portfolio.
- Direct construction management activities, including tenant improvements, major maintenance, and capital improvements.
- Lead and develop high-performing professional staff and project teams.
- Ensure compliance with construction laws, ADA requirements, fire and life safety, and environmental health and safety standards.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in Finance, Real Estate, or both.
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Real Estate, or a related field.
- Advanced experience in strategic planning, execution, and leading large-scale change initiatives.
- Demonstrated expertise in commercial property management and asset management.
- Proficiency with industry software tools, specifically Yardi.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting principles, and fiscal management.
- Ability to interpret design and construction documents, including architectural and mechanical plans.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Property Manager (CPM) or Real Property Administrator (RPA) designation.
- Valid state Real Estate License.
- Advanced knowledge of UCLA's specific contracting, purchasing, and bidding requirements.
