About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead the multicampus accommodations advising program, overseeing operations, policy development, and staff supervision.
  • Direct the CLEAR program by setting strategic goals, evaluating effectiveness, and managing resources and personnel.
  • Maintain a caseload to determine eligibility, develop accommodation plans, and provide guidance to students and faculty.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and institutional requirements to provide equitable access for students with disabilities.
  • Apply relevant laws and best practices to support student success and accessibility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and four years of progressively responsible relevant experience.
  • At least one year of managerial experience.
  • Experience reviewing and approving accommodations for students with disabilities (or equivalent education/experience).
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong computer proficiency, including experience with databases, spreadsheets, and word processing.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Counseling, Social Work, or Rehabilitation Counseling.
  • One to two years of direct experience serving students with disabilities in a higher education setting.
  • Knowledge of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and other pertinent laws.
  • Understanding of universal design, assistive technologies, and student development theory.
  • Demonstrated sensitivity and competency in working with diverse populations.
