Assistant Director, Student Life

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic oversight for student clubs and organizations, supporting leadership growth and organizational development.
• Lead the planning and execution of major campus events, including Orientation, Founders Festival, and Spring Fling.
• Manage the university’s student engagement platform (Engage), including training, content management, and reporting.
• Supervise professional staff and oversee the recruitment, onboarding, and training of Student Life Assistants.
• Manage operational processes including student organization budgets, vendor coordination, and fiscal compliance.
• Utilize engagement data and program assessment to analyze participation trends and inform programming strategies.
• Coordinate the development of semester activity calendars and promotional materials.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 2+ years of professional work experience in student development and campus activities.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with students, faculty, staff, and administrators.
• Strong interpersonal skills, including excellent written and verbal communication.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in a higher education setting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in student affairs, higher education administration, or a related field.
