About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership in reviewing and determining student disability accommodation requests in accordance with ADA and Section 504 regulations.
  • Review disability documentation and develop individualized accommodation plans to support student access.
  • Coordinate accommodation implementation across campus partners, including faculty, academic departments, and housing.
  • Facilitate testing accommodations and exam proctoring processes.
  • Support student learning by coaching students in effective communication and self-advocacy.
  • Supervise student support staff assisting with testing facilitation and accessibility services.
  • Contribute to campus-wide accessibility initiatives and promote Universal Design for Learning.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, records, and reports related to disability services.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree required.
  • 2-3 years of professional experience in higher education, preferably in disability or accessibility services.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of ADA, Section 504, and disability-related compliance requirements.
  • Experience reviewing disability documentation and coordinating accommodation plans.
  • Personal commitment to the Christian faith and the integration of faith and learning.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, counseling, psychology, disability studies, or a related field.
  • Experience supervising student employees or coordinating program operations.
  • Professional development or training related to Universal Design for Learning or disability compliance.
  • Relevant training or certification in mental health response or crisis response.
