Assistant Director - QA Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and execute comprehensive testing strategies to ensure software quality through automated testing across web applications and APIs
• Develop and maintain automated test frameworks using scripting languages to create reusable components and improve efficiency
• Execute end-to-end, API, and performance testing to validate application functionality and data integrity under various load conditions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and product managers, to provide testing guidance and communicate quality metrics
• Analyze test results, investigate failures, and document bugs with detailed reproduction steps to facilitate rapid resolution
• Maintain detailed test documentation, including test cases, data sets, and quality dashboards
• Participate in code reviews and design discussions to ensure testability is incorporated early in the development lifecycle

Requirements

• Strong technical proficiency in Cypress, TypeScript, Postman, Jest, and Jira
• Demonstrated experience writing and executing complex test cases and scripts
• Proficiency in end-to-end, API, and performance/load testing methodologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify root causes of defects
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with stakeholders and reporting quality status
• Sharp attention to detail and a meticulous approach to identifying edge cases

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines, specifically using Git and AWS
• Strong understanding of AWS serverless technologies (Lambda, ECS, DynamoDB, S3, etc.)
• Familiarity with artificial intelligence concepts and an interest in using AI tools to improve testing efficiency
