Assistant Director Production – Attractions

Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive event strategies and oversee the strategic planning, logistics, and production sequencing of events
• Establish audiovisual setups in collaboration with Special Events Departments and clients
• Direct the setup of sound, projection, lighting, staging, and seating requirements
• Manage the efficient and cost-effective operation of the Special Events department within budget
• Schedule and coordinate manpower and equipment resources for event setup and operation
• Ensure in-house teams and third-party contractors follow safety compliance and risk mitigation protocols
• Oversee and manage outsourced event organizers and third-party vendors
• Lead, mentor, and develop the AV technical crew while promoting company standards
• Manage inventory of operating supplies and equipment and implement quality control mechanisms for setup and strike

Requirements

• 8–10 years of experience in AV technical services
• Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role
• Experience in luxury resorts or five-star entertainment venues
• Fluent in English with excellent interpersonal and coordination abilities
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Ability to remain composed under pressure and maintain a professional demeanor

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Audio Engineering, Technical Theatre, Production Design, or a related field
• Industry certifications in AV control systems
• Rigging safety certification
• Projection technology certification
