Assistant Director, Private Sector

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive co-op and entry-level job advising, including resume reviews, mock interviews, and career planning strategy.
• Manage the Private Sector Team's On-Campus Interviewing (OCI) program and the Guest Advising Program.
• Engage with existing private sector employers and conduct outreach to cultivate new employer relationships for student placements.
• Develop and deliver professional development training, materials, and group presentations to prepare students for recruitment.
• Advise 3Ls and recent graduates on postgraduate job searches and track employment data for reporting.
• Support administrative operations for the Center for Co-op and Career Development.

Requirements

• J.D. degree.
• At least 3 years of legal work experience in the private sector.
• Demonstrated ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadline pressures.
• Strong customer service orientation and technological proficiency.
• Ability to attend occasional evening and weekend networking or employer engagement events.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Biglaw.
• Experience in student advising, career counseling, or student services.
• Background in legal recruitment or professional development.
