About the role
Responsibilities
- Monitor political and social activity across seven key countries: Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia.
- Support the Director in presenting advocacy positions to government officials, diplomats, and civil society stakeholders.
- Produce drafts of position papers, briefing documents, talking points, and communication materials.
- Research and identify areas of potential impact to organize conferences, panel discussions, and background briefings.
- Manage social media presence, specifically leading the Central Europe Institute Twitter account.
- Enhance the CEI webpage and draft press releases to support regional advocacy efforts.
- Identify and develop relationships with key potential partners and stakeholders throughout the region.
Requirements
- Master's degree.
- Minimum of 7 years of related work experience in a Government Institute, Think Tank, Diplomacy, NGO, or similar field.
- Native proficiency in at least one of the following: Polish, Czech, Slovak, Hungarian, Lithuanian, Latvian, or Estonian.
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
- Ability to travel internationally.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook) and Google Suite.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
