Assistant Director of University Commons and Conference Operations

Responsibilities

• Administer and oversee the University scheduling and reservation system (25Live) for the entire campus.
• Manage and coordinate event management for multiple campus facilities, with a focus on the University Commons.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate student employees within a comprehensive student employment program.
• Oversee the daily operations of the University Commons and Information Center, including logistics, cleanliness, and setup.
• Manage campus and conference operations, including the hiring and management of summer staff.
• Actively solicit new rental business and summer camps to meet revenue expectations.
• Support university-wide student retention initiatives and participate in relevant committees.
• Provide evening and weekend supervision and remain on-call as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Experience in student union management or related areas.
• Experience supervising part-time or student employees.
• Advanced proficiency in utilizing technology, including software, hardware, and media equipment.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Student Affairs, Higher Education Administration, or a related field.
• Experience in facilities management.
