Assistant Director of the Annual Fund

Responsibilities

• Support and grow the university’s annual giving program through strategic fundraising initiatives
• Cultivate a culture of philanthropy among alumni, students, parents, and friends of the university
• Develop and execute social media content strategies to drive alumni engagement
• Plan and execute engaging event programming and volunteer-based campaigns
• Craft compelling, audience-appropriate messaging for various communication channels
• Manage digital fundraising platforms and email marketing campaigns to increase donor participation and retention

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• At least one year of experience in annual fund or phonathon management within a higher education setting
• Experience using digital fundraising platforms (e.g., GiveCampus, OneCause, Gravyty)
• Proven experience in social media management, including content creation and analytics
• Proficiency in graphic design tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
• Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Constant Contact, Salesforce Marketing Cloud)
• Experience in event planning and execution
• Proficiency with CRM/database systems (e.g., Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• More than one year of experience in advancement, annual giving, alumni relations, nonprofit development, or marketing/communications
